Late Friday night, the Crewe Railroaders committee announced the appointment of Nathe Owen as the new Head Coach for the 2018 season and beyond. Nathe played for most of last season on the Offensive Line for the Nighthawks, and takes with him a wealth of experience, having played at Derby Braves and Staffordshire Surge, as well as coaching at the Keele Crusaders with ex-Nighthawks coach Nick Thompson.

Crewe are excited about working with coach Owen and with a lot of new ideas and enthusiasm they can’t wait to get started on next season. When asked about his appointment, Owen said ‘I was delighted to be offered the role from the Railroaders, and we’ve already started the hard work to get the program where we want it to be. My experience playing in the Premier Division with The Nighthawks has given me a solid base of knowledge and experience to draw upon. I’m looking forward to getting underway and hopefully I can be standing on the sideline opposite some of my old teammates before long’.

We’d like to wish Coach Owen all the success in his new endeavours with The Railroaders and we look forward to following your progress in the 2018 season and beyond.
